FOSTERING THE CALL
At Light Source, we believe in the importance of mentorship and the opportunity to receive safe, meaningful support as one develops in their career as a therapist. The fields of psychotherapy, social work, counseling, and other clinical work can be demanding, traumatizing, and isolating. Yet - despite that knowledge - we are a field of practitioners who answer the call to listen to the needs, struggles, and emotions of others. Part of that call includes supervision and mentorship.
Upon receiving a graduate degree, the field promises the opportunity to receive 2 years of safe, guided mentorship and supervision. This guidance is central to development as a clinician, and it is an integral part of finding your Light Source as a therapist. Light Source is proud to offer clinical supervision as one of the many services we feel are important to the field and our community. Our licensed staff fully understand the process of development in the realm of clinical work. We have taken upon ourselves to ensure that we are willing to use our experience to help new clinicians receive the mentorship and support they deserve. We offer individual and group supervision, online supervision, and a flexible schedule.
As our careers progress, it is important for us to find a safe, thoughtful place that will help us process our experiences as clinicians. In recent years, the field of Reflective Supervision has grown to fill that need. After licensure, it can be difficult to ask for help and support as a leading professional in your field. Reflective Supervision provides the space to process the experience of being a therapist with another professional there to help you connect with the pieces of professional process that you are carrying day-to-day. At Light Source, every therapist participates in Reflective Supervision as a way to ensure that we are all present for one another in our work. We are proud to offer this service to our community of therapists.
Light Source will be offering individual and reflective supervision for any helping professionals. We provide options that include weekly or monthly meetings, contracts with agencies or departments, and online accommodations. It is our honor to be part of the helping community. By offering reflective supervision we hope to play a role in supporting other helpers in their career journey.
