Therapy is the most profound and humbling unfolding of story, emotion, change, and growth that anyone can pursue. Over the course of exploring and processing your inner landscape the twists and turns create a journey so unique that words cannot do it justice. In that journey you inevitably meet many versions of yourself, many travelers in your story, and most importantly , you have a chance to find the most unapologetically authentic version of yourself you have ever encountered.
The work of self exploration and diving deep into inner experience is something that never stops. There is always more room to navigate and space to traverse. Therapy can be a source of mapping that terrain and learning new landscapes in the safety of a consulting room that you deserve to feel is there for your path. By no means is therapy the only space for this exploration, but it can be a beautiful landmark and space for return as you continue your adventure.
In therapy, I use any tool at our disposal. From the vast worlds of jungian depth work to the organized space of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, it is important to feel that you are worthy of all the resources available in the world of psychotherapy. There is nothing more important than finding the format of looking inward and creating curiosity that is specifically for you. There are boundless options and concepts present for approaching any change, loss, or transition, and I will work tirelessly to find the right combination of ideas unique to your experience in a way that keep safety and curiosity in the room.
In 15 years of practice, I have never lost the awe that is present with every story and every journey I have been lucky enough to join. Therapy is an awe inspiring process, and I marvel at the strength needed to look inward. Light Source was started to create a safe space that honors that strength and maintains that sense of marvel.
