Psychodynamic psychotherapy supports clients in exploration of negative, contradictory feelings, repressed emotions. We connect events from the past to their impact on current decision-making, behaviors, and relationships. This type of psychotherapy is a deep dive of earlier experiences and emotions that impact your current state of well-being.
Offering psychodynamic psychotherapy:
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps people heal from emotional distress that results in a wide range of symptoms. EMDR can help people experience benefits of psychotherapy in a way that helps us heal from psychological trauma in the way the body recovers from physical trauma - by closing the wound. Clinicians help clients activate natural healing processes.
Our Animal-Assisted team consists of Kim and Mila, who offer a variety of hands-on therapeutic interventions. Mila helps clients quickly build trust and rapport and is especially wonderful with children and families. Using analogies from Mila's rescue story, Kim can help guide clients into understanding boundaries, having hope for recovery, and and increased sense of self-worth.
